I just started playing with Quikmaps. It looks like it could be a handy tool to help students learn geography. It also could help them learn how to read maps and navigate. I just read an article that said the human brain's hippocampus is shrinking because people are relying on GPS and not practicing navigational skills enough. Maybe we won't need to navigate in the future, but I think students will enjoy using this tool. Has anyone used this in their classroom?
